Are you ready to your educational experience to real-world problems? Are you passionate about ing your IT skills in a real-world tech environment? Foot Locker’s Core Retail technology team is driving modern strategy around our digital systems and operations, with a goal of providing world class customer experience to our internal and external customers. As an Intern you will join an energized engineering team focused on elevating the customer experience by ing reliability engineering effectively. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, organized, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficient problem-solving/troubleshooting capabilities and technical acumen to support a fast paced and demanding environment.
Responsibilities
• Be a key contributor in implementing CI/CD, instrumentation and monitoring on key applications
• Demonstrate ability to programmatically solve the challenges
• Utilize GitHub, Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps build to migrate version control system from TFS and PVCS
• Implement observability using New Relic, Splunk, Log analytics like tools to improve on reliability engineering
• Follow established processes in support of operational software tools, hardware, and system software - then participate in streamlining automated audit processes where possible
• Enhance deployments capabilities and look for opportunities to improve technology processes
• Work in a multi-site, global, corporate environment and understand how your work can have a global impact
Qualifications
To qualify for an internship with Foot Locker, individuals must:
- Be a junior or senior in college, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Information technology, Information Systems, etc. OR a Spring 2021 graduate
- Be available to work May 24 - July 30, 2021
- Arrange the internship with the educational institution on a for-credit basis, if necessary.
- Be available to work remotely Monday-Friday (40 hours/week).
- Have a strong WIFI connection
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
