The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for providing support in the Wheel Equipment shop providiinggeneral maintenance, preventive maintenance, and the upkeep of the entire Service Center. Responsibilities include supporting the operations team, maintaining all facility and ground equipment through preventive maintenance schedules, while providing additional support to the Maintenance department is required. This position also requires the ability to read, understand, and complete plan modifications and schematics.

Tuesday - Saturday 2:00 P.M. - 10:30 P.M.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in mechanical, electrical, building grounds, and plumbing assignments
  • Operate and maintain multi-shifter
  • Complete less complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing assignments
  • Conduct thorough preventive maintenance inspections
  • Perform extensive preventive maintenance procedures
  • Operate lift trucks, maintenance equipment, grounds equipment, and company vehicles
  • Analyze and repair basic equipment/system malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electro-mechanical problems

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Operate hand and/or portable power tools at a proficient level
  • Ability to perform basic machining tasks
  • Must be able to certify on all equipment
  • 1-2 years maintenance experience

Required to stand (stationary position) during scheduled hours. Hours usually include weekends, evenings and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling and moving weights of 5 - 50 pounds constantly and 50-100lbs frequently.
Ability to move 50-100lbs at least 25 feet in distance.
Must be comfortable ambulating 30-40 feet in the air
Must be within the height/weight guidelines provided by equipment manufacturer to safely operate equipment and able to certify and operate all equipment.
Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
