The Warehouse Maintenance Mechanic I worker is responsible for maintenance tasks and a wide variety of general maintenance duties for the distribution center facilities. Responsibilities include operating equipment in a safe manner, maintaining a safe and clean working area and ensuring that the location is functioning within company and OSHA standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Assists Maintenance Mechanic II and III in any equipment repair (e.g. forklifts, conveyors, pallet racking, metal fabrication, minor electrical wiring, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting).

Performs light carpentry work such as building shelving, racks and repairing work benches. Performs light plumbing repair such as faucets, clear clogged drains and cleaning sumps/drains. Performs light electrical replacement work such as changing light bulbs and resetting circuit breakers.

Assists in the maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs for the internal distribution center facilities.

Drives power sweeper and scrubber to maintain floors and aisles.

Drives fork truck to move pallets into and out of building.

Performs janitorial work such as spill clean-up, window washing, restroom maintenance, trash handling and other housekeeping duties.

Fills out necessary paperwork such as purchase requisitions for supplies, inspection reports and any assigned work orders.

Maintains janitorial supply inventories.
