The Maintenance Technician III will work on the Conveyor Side and is responsible for preventive and routine maintenance on all Service Center equipment and structures, and for supporting the production operations.

A Maintenance Technician III will serve as a team leader on assigned special projects.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 10:00PM to 6:30AM

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand, and/or portable power at a proficient level.
  • Operate and maintain multi-shifter.
  • Maintain, test and service industrial batteries.
  • Perform extensive preventative maintenance procedures on all powered industrial equipment.
  • Install and repair batteries, wiring and electrical components as required.
  • Check and record all equipment meter readings on battery changes.
  • Lay out, assemble, install and repair hoses and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Repair and/or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
  • Install, repair and program automated machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical problems on electric forklifts, golf carts and genie booms.
  • Operate basic machine tools, including lathe, welder, drill press and milling machine.
  • Repair and fabricate parts, jigs, fixtures and other tools as needed.
  • Certify and operate all powered industrial equipment as needed.
  • Maintain part inventory.
  • Return all cores to manufacturing, as required.
  • Follow and practice all safety guidelines and programs, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Operate Computer Maintenance Management System (MP2) and on-line parts request (IRMN) system.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details
  • Assume other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Must be punctual and able to meet attendance requirements per attendance policy.
  • Work overtime and various shifts as business needs demand and as required.
  • Maintain clean tools and work area.

Qualifications

Physical Fitness

The Maintenance Technician III must have physical strength and be able to perform the physical tasks of the position.

Pursuant to OSHA code:29CFR 1910.66 I (f), and Harness manufacturer guidelines, all candidates for any equipment operator position will have to prove their weight including tools does not exceed 300lbs.

This is a safety issue, no employee over that weight stipulation is safe either by use of their harness, or at elevations of 6ft or higher. Employees will have their harness inspected every three months and their weight shall be checked yearly, or as dictated by company policy.

This position works in a warehouse environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED. Minimum of two years maintenance/mechanical/ repair experience or vocational diploma in related area(s). Experience in fork-lift/electric cart repair, knowledge of safety regulations and PC knowledge advantageous. However, the Maintenance Technician II - Machine Repair must posses basic math skills, language skills and reasoning ability (as defined below) in order to fulfill position requirements.
