Foot Locker is seeking a skilled and motivated software engineer to be part of a fast-paced organization providing innovative solutions in support of Foot Locker’s global accounts payable, procurement, and real estate operations. The Software Engineer role is accountable for the development and support of Foot Locker’s PeopleSoft FSCM application systems and other related business systems.The right candidate will have expertise in PeopleSoft to design, develop, test, implement, and support PeopleSoft applications and related systems in support of Foot Locker’s strategic and day to day business needs. Proficiency in PeopleCode, SQR, Application Engine, XML Publisher, and Integration Broker in an environment using PeopleTools 8.50 or higher is required along with experience in PeopleSoft Finance 9.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and transform business requirements into innovative solutions that effectively support the business world-wide.
  • Design, develop, test, implement and maintain applications in support of Foot Locker’s global accounts payable, procurement, and real estate operations.
  • Prepare and maintain application design documentation.
  • Develop and execute test plans and document test results.
  • Develop implementation materials required to implement application changes.
  • Troubleshoot and debug application software and solve production problems.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with business users and technical teams through all phases of the development life cycle.
  • Work closely with other teams and team members to solve problems, support and coordinate the implementation of application systems.
  • Provide on-call support as part of a team on-call support rotation.
  • Provide status updates as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field and/or equivalent IS&T experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IS&T with PeopleSoft applications, architecture, and development.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in PeopleCode, SQR, Application Engine, XML Publisher, and Integration Broker in an environment using PeopleTools 8.50 or higher.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft 9.0 or higher applications, preferred.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Finance modules and Purchasing modules.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in SQL with relational databases.
  • API integration experience between PeopleSoft and other applications - including SaaS solutions - is needed.

  • Ability to develop and maintain applications in an environment utilizing Unix/AIX. Oracle DBMS, Oracle Stored Procedures, and COBOL, experience preferred.
  • XML and web services experience is required.
  • Experience with Oracle 12.x or higher is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required.
  • Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable, shows proactive initiativeand sense of urgency with follow through.
