Description:The Air and Commercial Solutions (ACS) Business Development Director is responsible for the strategy and business development for the ACS market segment within the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) Training and Logistics Solutions (TLS) Line of Business. The Director will lead a team to establish a growth strategy and manage a domestic and international opportunity pipeline, in partnership with the market segment Vice President.

The Director will be responsible for customer engagement planning and execution, new business capture, new business fund (NBF) decision making, and talent development of a diverse team. In this role, the Director acts as the prime internal and external contact for ACS and ensures that skills and assigned portfolios are aligned to the market segment strategic priorities. The Director will actively develop and maintain internal and external relationships to optimize solutions in the dynamic and competitive market.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related field, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience developing market segment level growth strategy and translate into measurable and executable tasks
• Experience with large captures and delivering on Orders commitments
• Proven and current knowledge of DoD procurement environment and acquisition processes
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, industry partners, and across the LM enterprise
• Direct leadership experience
• Experience with New Opportunity identification and pipeline management
• Experience making priority funding decisions, managing and executing budgets
• Demonstrated experience mentoring the team to identify “Art of the deal” activities to increase probability of win
• Experience teaming with multiple industry partners
• Demonstrated ability to nourish strong relationships with internal and external customers. Requires a demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and deal with top level customers, company and other personnel.
• 15+ years of business development and/or operational experience.
• A high degree of flexibility and the ability to travel worldwide without restriction.
Desired Skills:
• Possess core knowledge of the ACS Portfolio and US Air Force. Possess solid understanding of the Department of Defense budgeting and acquisition processes and ability to relate them to the Foreign Military Sales program.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret international customers' needs and requirements and relate them back to programmatic processes.
• Strong financial planning skills
• Strong decision-making ability
• Demonstrated customer relations skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
