Description
For a 13-month period of time under the supervision of the Residency Program designees, and according to established policies and procedures, participates in a concentrated post graduate training program in an outpatient rehabilitation setting. Responsible for the administration, interpretation and evaluation of tests and measurements. Plans and modifies treatment programs. Works with neonatal through geriatric patients with clinical competency, as applicable. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) or Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (tDPT) from accredited college or university
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Physical Therapist clinical rotation in an orthopedic setting
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of Texas or compact license
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: See Preferred Certification Listing
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Basic Life Support (BLS) - obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
