This position is located in our Etna, OH Distribution Center

The qualified individual will be responsible for performing basic maintenance duties to keep all conveyor systems operational and assisting upper level maintenance techs with troubleshooting system issues and repairs. Will have basic knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE) and tools and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs of the MHE, facility, and assigned projects, and a strong willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of material handling equipment (MHE), powered equipment, and other facility equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot and repair of conveyor/cranes, scanners, cuber, scales, tapers, carton erector, Pacline repair of lift equipment, PE (personal equipment/pallet jack), SP (Stock picker)
• Knowledge of PLCs
• Monitor and troubleshoot system operations
• Facility repairs and maintenance such as bulb changes, painting, plumbing
• Cardboard baler maintenance, including wire changes and cleaning
• Battery changes in powered equipment
• Assisting with parts
• Project assignments in distribution center, office area and surrounding outdoor property. Additional duties and responsibilities as required to meet the established goals of the facility.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience in a hands-on maintenance role in a large, automated distribution center or manufacturing environment
• Technically proficient in electrical and mechanical maintenance; Dematic conveyor experience a plus
• Strong English language communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and execute responsibilities on schedule
• Strong problem solving and decision making ability
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment
• Able to utilize Computer Maintenance Management software to its full capability

Salary: $22.00-$28.00/hour
