We currently have an opportunity for a Store Communications Specialist - Lane Bryant to join our team located at our Corporate-LaneBryant-Columbus, OH 43219.Position Overview:
The Store Communication Specialist is responsible for creating, prioritizing and managing all daily field communication in order to deliver one brand voice for the field.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Store Communication Specialist is required to:
- Manage, create and prioritize the daily communication process and vehicles for all Lane Bryant and Lane Bryant Outlet field communication.
- Develop field communication strategies through understanding and prioritizing field needs through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Copy, edit, proofread, and revise communications.
- Recommend, implement and maintain store portal site design and operation.
- Ensure alignment and socialization of all communication strategies with cross-functional partners.
- Provide field communication counsel and guidance on all areas of communication for cross-functional business partners.
- Evolve and measure effectiveness of the communication vehicles.
- Act as gatekeeper for all communications to field and field leadership.
- Build strong partnerships with cross-functional and field partners to best support our internal and external Client.
- Identify and resolve communication issues and practices from cross-functional partners to field group.
- Invite and encourage dialogue among team members to increase understanding of differing points of view, strengthen team cohesion and promote effective decision making.
- Contribute to other key team projects, as required.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication or related field preferred.
- 2 - 5 years of retail experience (retail store experience preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong strategic, organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to provide feedback to all levels of management.
- Ability to effectively translate data into actionable information to drive results.
- Demonstrated success working as part of a cross-functional team.
- Proven ability to independently and proactively manage multiple tasks/priorities and personalities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as Adobe InDesign.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to reach, push, pull, stand, squat and bend for up to 4 hours or longer as necessary
- Ability to drive and/or fly 2 plus hours
- Travel between 10% to 15% of time
- Able to operate varies technology, (laptops, cellphones etc.)
- Able to lift as much as 50 pounds.
- Able to climb an 8-foot ladder.
