GENERAL PURPOSE:Responsible for the planning and execution of all training programs at the Distribution Center. This includes all Hourly training for Ross and Temporary Associates, as well as Exempts up to the VP level. The person must have the capability of both designing training processes & related materials, as well as facilitate the adult learning process with participants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Coordinates the training of all new Ross and Temporary Hourly Associates.
• Creates the training plan based upon staffing requirements
• Allocates training resources based upon requirements
• Oversees the work of the with Temp Agency Coaches & Trainers
• Coordinates and conducts the majority of Exempt Associates training and orientation.
• Follows the approved curriculum for new SIT and MIT candidates
• Develops new materials as appropriate
• Required to document all training of DC Associates for legal and credit purposes.
• When new procedures and processes are introduced, is responsible for creating the most effective way to educate impacted Associates, and officially document the changes in training materials.
• Is occasionally requested to participate in cross functional DC projects to provide subject matter expertise in the area of training.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• BS degree or two years supervisory experience in a production or merchandising function (preferred)
• Strong analytical skills and numerical orientation
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• A familiarity with computer systems and use of workstations for extracting and updating data.
• Spanish/bilingual helpful, but not required
• Creativity and ability to think outside the box
• Ability to work cross functionally, up to Director level
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in a warehouse environment, on a concrete floor all day.
Requires continuous, standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance is necessary.
Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, talking, hearing (audio equipment), handling objects with hands and lifting to 50 lbs.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires full-time in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.
