Position Description
The Quality Management Manager reports directly to the Director of Clinical Quality Improvement (DCQI), directs and coordinates the Infection Prevention (IP) program in the hospital and is responsible for Project Management in assigned clinical programs for quality of care, performance improvement and patient safety. The Quality Management Manager will facilitate performance improvment initiatives where indicate while monitoring the effectiveness of clinical quality projects. This designated person will be given authority to implement and enforce infection prevention and will be responsible for tasks to implement and enforce the Surveillance, Prevention and Control Program policies, coordinate all infection prevention control within the hospital and facilitate ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of prevention and/or control activities and interventions.
2503007862- Project Manager of assigned clinical programs - and provides consultative support in clinical quality prorgams in the hospital as determined by the DCQI.
- Infection prevention and control practice - incorporates into practice effective activities that are specific to the practice setting, the population serviced, and the continuum of care.
- Surveillance-Uses a systematic approach to monitor the effectiveness of precention and control strategies that are consistent with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Epidemiology-Applies epidemiologic principles and statistical methods, including risk stratification and benchmarking, to identify target populations, determine risk factors, design prevention and control strategies, analyze trends, and evaluate processes.
- Education-Serves as an educator and education resource for heathcare providers, ancillary staff, patients, families and the general public.
- Consultation-Provides expert knowledge and guidance in infection control and clinical quality programs in the hospital.
- Occupational Health-Collaborates with occupational health in the development of strategies that address the risk of disease transmission to healthcare providers and ancillary staff.
- Program Administration and Evaluation-Systematically evaluates the effectiveness of the Infection Prevention Program and assigned Clinical Quality Programs of the hospital.
- Performance Improvement and Patient Safety-Functions as an integral part of performance improvement initiatives to promote positive patient and employee outcomes.
- Research-Conducts; Participates; Evaluates- and/or applies relevant research findings to infection prevention, quality improvement. Research includes evidenced based studies and/or outbreak/cluster investigations, surveillance findings, and others.
- Will provide management coverage for the Quality Department when requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field or equivalent education/experience
- National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology within 1 year of hire
• Three years (3) of Healthcare Experience with 2 years experience in an acute care facility
• One year (1) of Epidemiology Experience - Two years (2) in performance improvement/quality duties
- Knowledgeable in use of computers and specific hardware i.e. word perfect, word, excel, access
- Statistical educational background
- Good communication skills and ability to work with others
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field or equivalent education/experience
• 5 years of Healthcare Experience with 2 years in an acute care facility
• 2 years of Epidemiology Experience

Pay Range: $97,760 - $151,840 **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience ***Calculated based on a full time position
