Position Summary

The Director of Respiratory Therapy manages the operational, financial, personnel activities, and clinical aspects of Respiratory Care. Completes established competencies
or the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program. Associates Degree in respiratory care or health science
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a biological/ health science degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 or more years of respiratory care experience or comparable managerial experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 4-5 years managerial experience in respiratory care area or a related clinical area.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current State of Texas License and CRT
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: RRT
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
