Associate Manager, Advertising Operations
As the Associate Manager, Advertising Operations you will be a part of Best Buy’s Media Performance and Activation team supporting Marketing and the Best Buy Ads retail media network. This role will lead the handoff processes and QA of all creative files, assets and tags for assigned campaigns ensuring efficiency, accuracy and timeliness of campaign launches and creative updates. The Associate Manager, Advertising Operations has the opportunity to influence new processes and products that will drive the growth of our BBY Ads business. Successful candidates will be digital advertising experts with outstanding collaboration and communication skills and experience prioritizing across a high volume of activity in a fast-paced environment. This role works closely with Account Management, Media Strategy, Ecommerce, Agency teams and advertising partners.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at our Best Buy Corporate Campus in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. What you’ll do
- Manage day to day Ad Ops QA and file handoff process for assigned campaigns; lead communication related to creative and trafficking with Media agency and serve as a central point of contact for cross functional teams.
- Provide oversight and guidance to a team comprised of in-house and offshore roles. Address questions on process and implementation, assisting with QA as needed, troubleshooting and elevating issues.
- Support third party tagging governance, implementation, and auditing processes as assigned.
- Create and deliver run the business and ad hoc team reports to leaders, provide input on team workflow, recommend and implement process improvements.
- Represent Ad Ops in cross functional workstreams related to process, tools, campaign deliverables, and ad products.
Basic qualifications
- 6+ years progressive Marketing/Media experience including digital media operations experience at a publisher, advertiser or agency
- 2+ years people or resource leadership (indirect or direct)
- Rigorous attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to organize and guide cross-functional teams
Preferred qualifications
- Working knowledge of ad serving platforms including Google Ad Manager and Campaign Manager
- Strong process and project management skills
- Previous experience in Salesforce Media Cloud and/or Workfront
- Experience with omni-channel paid media programs for a national, retail brand
