Disney’s Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. The Disney+ Programming and Content Curation team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.
Job Summary:
The Manager, Content Programming will guide the engagement strategy for Disney+ pre-stream content promos. The role will be the central cross-functional liaison for internal teams with a focus on driving the development and workflow for Disney+ pre-stream content promos. Day-to-day management will include calendaring, title prioritization, building, publishing, long-lead planning, data analysis, and creative readiness. This person will collaborate with Content Analytics to craft data-driven solutions to maximize engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

Responsible for Disney+ pre-stream content promos management and execution

Define and manage promo strategies and optimization

Develop and maintain workflow processes for the content promos ecosystem

Create high-impact, curated programming strategies that promote TWDC brands and franchises

Communicate campaign plans and recaps to internal teams and cross-functional partners

Assist with day-to-day framework management, communication workflow with global teams, campaign calendars, and content programming tools

Facilitate verbal and written communications between teams, and to the larger organization to ensure smooth information-sharing, issue resolution, and workload transitions

Act as trusted knowledge source for internal business partners around Disney+ content promos and day-to-day operations

Partner with TWDC marketing and global programming teams to ensure all priorities are coordinated appropriately

Utilize CMS, data, and other tools (Excel, Google Workspace, etc.) to support day-to-day responsibilities

Help identify and champion content programming framework improvements based on quantitative and strategic inputs

Leverage market and behavior data, audience research to drive data and analytics that determine effective programming strategies
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Bachelors degree minimum
-
7+ years experience working within the Entertainment industry. International content experience a plus.

1+ years experience managing direct reports

The hiring range for this position in CA is $102,000.00 to $136,700.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
