The Training Supervisor will assist with the development of training procedures and guidelines. Provide classroom and hands on training for associates. Provide follow up on newly trained associates to assess their skills before completing training. The Supervisor is also responsible for the development of their Training Specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach and develop the training skills of CHDC Training Specialists.
  • Partner with HR Manager, TA Recruiter, and Operations to streamline new hire orientation as well as follow up training.
  • Coordinate and schedule all training for new and existing associates to accommodate the needs of departments.
  • Interact with Supervisors and Management at the Distribution Center to provide training support for those Associates who require training or re-training by conducting classroom and technical training as required.
  • Create bi-lingual learner-centered training experiences for associates and develop training that appeals to many types of learners (online, instructor-led, etc.) in new and existing classes.
  • Maintain and update current training materials as directed by Sr Manager of Engagement, Connectivity, and Reporting.
  • Facilitate classroom, small group, and on-the-job training for new hires and existing associates, representing the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Train Associates on the operation of powered industrial equipment.
  • Work with new and existing associates on identified performance issues and retraining as directed.
  • Follow-up with new associates and give feedback as required.
  • Track and communicate training attendance and/or skill levels to other departments as needed.
  • Discreetly handle confidential associate information.
  • With assistance from Sr Manager of Engagement, Connectivity, and Reporting, continually work on developing skills in facilitating, designing, developing and evaluating training programs.
  • Follow company safety guidelines and report violations as needed.
  • Maintain classroom and training department spaces.
  • Work in the DC as directed to support Operations as needed.
  • Occasionally work a flexible schedule, including weekends and other shifts.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws (interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding associates, disciplining associates, addressing complaints, and resolving problems).

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent preferred
  • At least one year related training experience
  • At least one year supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
