Position Summary
The Anesthesia Tech assist physicians in the physiological monitoring of patients and the preparation of drugs, fluids, anesthetics and equipment ancillary to operative intervention of other procedures requiring anesthesia; set up, operate and maintain monitoring and anesthesia equipment. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Surgical attendant or nursing assistant may qualify the individual for on-the-job training.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as an anesthesia technician
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Anesthesia Technician
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
