The VP, Marketing Strategy is responsible for developing the seasonal marketing strategy and integrating marketing programs and strategic initiatives into overall seasonal plans. Oversees brand programs such as Loyalty, Community Engagement/Philanthropy, Store Events, and earned media (PR, Social). Develops marketing campaigns and communications in partnership with VP Creative/Content and VP Channel Planning & Optimization that provide a comprehensive customer experience for all channels - stores and digital.
Strategy

Develop and plan marketing strategy and campaigns, balancing customer demographic insights and continued brand evolution

Partner closely with design and merchandising to set strategic vision and priorities for the season

Develop a vision and strategy for digital marketing initiatives and content that include social media and mobile applications

Work closely with customer insights to understand and observe the competitive landscape, market trends and emerging customer behaviors and how they impact the marketing strategy
Execution

Drive and oversee all social media and mobile app ideation, execution and teams

Design and implement integrated marketing communications plans including PR, social media, advertising, events and collateral
Drive and Support Partnerships

Key partner to other Marketing team leads to ensure key Marketing initiatives are holistic and focused to drive business priorities and customer engagement

Work with leaders to declare evergreen Marketing priorities and manage programs through executive approval cycles, Digital Experience and creative execution

Attain new external brand partnerships while maintaining existing ones
Leadership

Drive development of team organizational structure, ensuring associates and teams are set up for success

Perform all duties with the Talent Lifecycle, including staffing new talent, developing individuals, ensuring engagement, performance management

Foster the demonstration of company’s core values
Work Experience and education requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Economics, MBA preferred

The successful candidate should possess a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive marketing and demonstrated team leadership experience with the proven ability to effectively manage a budget.

Multi-channel retail industry experience is strongly preferred.

Strong strategic thinking with the ability to create an overall strategy taking the businesses key objectives into consideration

Appreciation of customer behavior and the understanding of the emotion of the brand

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence others as well as build strong internal and external relationships

Team player and collaborative style to build relationships cross-functionally at all levels of the organization

Results-oriented with the ability to facilitate effective and timely project management across multi-disciplined and cross-functional teams
