SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining the conveyor system and all equipment related to the conveyor operation. Responsible for maintaining all of the automated machines.

Schedule:

2nd Shift Full-Time - 1:30pm-10:00pm

***No Part-Time hours available***

Starting Wage: Depending on experience.

This position is located in our Wausau, Wisconsin Distribution Center. Employee health is our #1 priority, so we are providing on-site social distancing, PPE and sanitizing stations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all of the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and programming of the conveyor systems and automated machines. Includes PLC logic, computer interfaces and the electrical system.
  • Responsible for biohazard clean up
  • Ability to work from electrical schematics, wire diagrams, and blueprints to maintain and troubleshoot the conveyor equipment and automated machines.
  • Requisitions spare parts, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Reports all pertinent information when completing work orders.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Two-year Electromechanical Technology degree from college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Needs to have excellent PLC, PC, mechanical and communication skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Required to comprehend operational manuals, PLC logic, PC software, wire diagrams, electric motors and drive systems, and servomotor operation.
  • Need to communicate conveyor issues with outside vendors to ensure problem resolution.
  • Ability to present information in a one-on-one or small group situation to vendors and other employees within the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to understand algebra, physics, geometry, electrical AC and DC circuits, trigonometry and PC software.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Must be able to scientific principles and technical knowledge to solve conveyor problems.
  • Ability to technical knowledge to solve complex problems that may involve several concrete variables.
