Foot Locker is excited to hire a Senior Human Resources Manager to support its Commercial division in driving HR initiatives. The Senior HR Manager is a member of the Corporate Functions Human Resources team, serving as a business partner to the Global Product, Marketing and Digital organizations. The Senior HR Manager will advise on potential opportunities in strategic and day-to-day HR management of the business. In conjunction with the Sr. Director of Human Resources, the Senior HR Manager is accountable to ensure the Commercial division attracts, develops and retains a high caliber of talent appropriate to the needs of the business. Qualified candidates must be in the Bradenton, FL or New York City, NY area.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a HR business partner to support short and long term strategic plans of the business
  • Drive HR initiatives for the Commercial division in support of the Global Foot Locker, Inc talent strategy 
  • Identify HR needs and talent gaps for the Company - perform needs assessments to analyze areas of opportunity to address business or cultural needs 
  • Ensure all current and future business needs are reflected in the development and implementation of HR strategies and that deliverables are aligned with strategic enterprise objectives 
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts within the Company to ensure global objectives are incorporated into Commercial programs 
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve processes 
  • Maintain strong relationships with global HR counterparts, specifically the North American Division HR team, to ensure continuity of process, initiatives and organizational culture 
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business administration, organizational development or a related degree required 
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources or business administration is an asset
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a retail environment
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory and project management experience preferred 
  • Demonstrated ability to create and foster organizational change 
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills 
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills 
  • Experience with relevant HR systems, applications and tools 
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making and may involve confidential or sensitive matters 
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills 
  • Excellent project management skills, particularly with respect to organization, prioritization and time management 
  • Ability to travel as necessary to support the business
