Position Overview:

The DCAsset ProtectionSpecialist has thorough knowledge of Ascena Retail Group, Inc. loss prevention, security and life safety procedures. Performs duties as a floor officer and acts as a deterrent to theft. Responds to and proactively addresses life safety, security, and operational issues.

Performance requirements

Duties

  • Checks employee ID badges to control facility egress and logs visitors/contractors. Ensure associates, vendors, and visitors follow security and safety related procedures. Monitors facility CCTV, fire/unauthorized access, and access control systems. Answers and transfers internal/external phone calls as part of Front Desk procedures.
  • Conducts daily and monthly audits and facility inspections (i.e. outbound audits, compliance audits, safety/security checklists, etc.). Under direction, responsible for initiating internal/external investigations based on daily inspections findings and/or information received from other sources/information.
  • Secures facility during non-operational hours.
  • Provides after-hours security/surveillance to associates in times of need.
  • Responsible for creating incident/injury reports and acts as first responder by administering first aid in times of need.
  • Tracking and monitoring all damaged, pilfered carton reports.
  • Deliver departmental new-hire orientation classes providing an overview of security, compliance, and safety practices.
  • Performs other administrative duties as needed by LP Management.

Work Experience and education requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in Loss Prevention or security preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Self-motivated; must be able to work with little or no supervision
  • Must be flexible to work any hours required
  • First Aid, CPR, AED certification preferred (certification will be required during employment)
  • Possess intermediate computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
