This role provides Supervision of Technicians that support Facilities, the Service Center and company initiatives and goals; including task assignment and tracking, inventory and department budget oversite, project management and management of MHE and building systems preventative maintenance and repairs. The Maintenance Supervisor must take initiative, effectively evaluate priorities, multi-task and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain schedule of technicians for respective shift to include processing leave requests.
  • Recruit, interview and hire technicians when positions are open.
  • Monitor and enforce departmental, facility and company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor department associate engagement through open communication with all associates.
  • Quality control work of technicians to ensure compliance with department procedures and expectations.
  • Ensure all time sheets, daily transition logs and preventative maintenance task logs are completed per SOP.
  • Oversee department’s parts inventory and related processes.
  • Monitor department’s line item expense budget.
  • Actively monitor and investigate MHE and building system issues.
  • Manage expense and capital MHE and building projects.
  • Distribute detailed daily transition notes to all department Supervisors and Managers.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Partner with other departments to drive department initiatives and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable municipal, state and federal laws relating to health and safety, OSHA.
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule, can adapt to new working conditions, and able to work increased peak season and project based hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of Supervisory experience is required, preferably in a facilities and/or distribution/manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of AC/DC electrical, MHE controls and circuitry, mechanical, machining, welding, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC preferred.
  • Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, Microsoft Office suite of products, and email.
