Summary
The Paramedic is a licensed Paramedic and functions under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse, Department Director, Clinical Manager of Emergency Department, and physician(s). The Paramedic assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that he/she has documented competency to perform. The Paramedic adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.

Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum education required for licensure as a Paramedic in the State of Florida.
Experience
Preferred: One (1) year of Emergency Services experience preferred.
Certifications
Required:
- State of Florida Paramedic License
- BLS and ACLS certification through approved American Heart Association program
- CPI within three (3) months of hire into position.
- Others: Complete blood draw competency within three (3) months of hire into position. Complete EKG competency within three (3) months of hire into the position.
