Position Overview:

OVERVIEW

The Director, Loyalty & Credit Marketing role is to create, foster and empower an energetic team that supports innovative thinking, having fun and work-life balance.

This role reports to the VP customer strategy and is responsible for architecting and executing credit card and loyalty strategies.

In this exciting position, you will put the consumer at the center of our brands’ engagement and growth strategies. Day to day, you will create value for customers by evolving and managing engagement, loyalty and retention programs. As a key member of the Marketing team, you will be accountable for both customer acquisition and the overall sales contribution of the program. This role is highly creative, collaborative and cross-functional. This position requires strong, collaborative partnerships across both brands and all channels and many functional areas. This person creates marketing strategies that focus on credit card and loyalty acquisition and usage. The Director, Loyalty & Credit Marketing will influence and work in partnership with brand marketing, creative, e-commerce, promotion and planning, client experience, store operations, finance, accounting, IT, field teams and bank/ network partners to ensure our brand loyalty efforts are maximized. S/he is client-centric in his/her approach and has keen knowledge and understanding of CRM with the ability to interpret data, and provide insightful recommendations based on analytics and ROI.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development and evolution of ascena Premium brands’ newly launched loyalty program.

• Work closely with the Brand Marketing, Planning, Finance, CRM and IT to craft and align on specific marketing strategies, goals and objectives.

• Architect marketing strategies that align with both brands and department goals and priorities, designed to support credit card and loyalty strategies; acquisition, usage, retention, sales, and redemption.

• Build out the customer life cycle and communication journey to drive enrollments and engagement

• Create, optimize and evolve retention strategies to retain, grow and strengthen customer base

• Lead and serve as key day-to-day liaison on all seasonal marketing programs and initiatives.

• Develop and lead seasonal communications process for internal information sharing with all CFT partners.

• Oversee brief development and delivery to creative team on approved marketing plan deliverables.

• Ensure budget is spent on driving key metrics that deliver value back to the organization.

• Manage all internal and external communication around program performance, including but not limited to executive recaps, hindsights and quarterly business reviews.

• Maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners including the brand marketing, creative, planning, e-commerce, client experience, store operations, finance, accounting, field, IT and bank partners, to ensure Credit & Loyalty Marketing is working collaboratively across the brands/ channels and vendors.

• In partnership with brand and bank partners, utilize key metrics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of all credit marketing programs and provide recommendations for future.

• Maintain an “always on” lens to capture ideas/opportunities from the competitive landscape.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent field

• Focus on retail marketing with experience managing a loyalty or credit card program required

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence teams in a cross-functional environment

• Able to persuade an audience and pitch to strategic internal and external partners

• Able to identify/analyze trends and draw insights to to future projects

• Minimum 8 - 10 years of marketing experience with strength in creating marketing plans and digital marketing optimization.

• A highly collaborative leader with a proven track record to get things down on-time and on-budget

• Ability to lead, develop and coach a high performing team

• An articulate, seasoned communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to succeed in fast-paced environment

• A sense of enthusiasm, passion and commitment to continually bring a fresh perspective

• A client-centric, analytical and ROI based approach to decision making

• A strong appreciation and understanding of fashion, style, loyalty programs and card business
