Position Overview:
Responsible for the learning, supporting (Including production Support) and leading the XCC application teams (Java Based Application). Candidate should be a team player and working with other development teams and business partners. An Ideal candidate should be continuously learning, can do attitude and explore into new technical areas. Typically works on multiple small to medium IT projects that require increased skill in JAVA/J2EE environments. Develops solutions requiring analysis and research.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining XCC promotion application across various brands and production and non-production environments
- Responsible for supporting XCC related issues and maintain SLA. Analyze, track, close application and system related issues and provide RCA documentation.
- Responsible for working with XCC product team on Production issue and get the patch/Build/Workaround applied in Lower environments and Production.
- Be part of development team to provide necessary support development team and release process.
- Be Part of the release process and provide necessary support to deployment activities.
- Work on Jira’s which contains development and Business tasks and fulfill them.
- Working with business partners and assist them in resolving domain related requirements.
- Own the custom components of application and develop to meet new requirements.
- Should be able to automate the repeated activities and improve day to day activities process efficiency.
- Proactively monitoring the systems health, plan the system capacity to meet application load.
- Should be able to work on system support activities during non-working days on rotation basis.
- Should be flexible to work on new opportunities and prove his/her capabilities.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems.
- Has working knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs.
- Typically has 5 to 7 years of experience in JAVA/J2EE based application
- Experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC, etc.)
- Experience with relational databases and data access (JDBC/DAO/SQL) Oracle strongly preferred.
- Requires advanced level knowledge and understanding of architecture, application systems design and integration, as well as broad knowledge in JAVA/J2EE that interact with the assigned function.
- At ease in working with customers, partners, and suppliers at all levels within the business.
- Outstanding communications skills; able to articulate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
- Exposure to test automation frameworks and front-end technologies is a plus
- Experience within the retail industry preferred.
- Experience in working in a production support environment
- E-commerce experience is a plus.
- Expected to work as on-call support outside planned business and shift hours.
