Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking an Engineer for our Platform Engineering team to help drive the continuous evolution and expansion of our world-class mobile and web e-commerce platforms. Must be an experienced and collaborative engineer able to contribute directly to solution design/evaluation, implementation and ongoing maintenance. Our Customer Experience platform continues to grow and we seek someone who is excited by the opportunity to help us balance stability with velocity as we explode our feature set and global coverage in 2021 and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Be a key technical contributor to projects that increase the availability, efficiency and performance of Foot Locker’s e-commerce platform.
  • Advocate infrastructure standards, frameworks and tools that enhance operational efficiency and team productivity.
  • Work closely with other members of Platform Engineering and the Application Teams, helping to increase productivity, collaboration and skill levels.
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices and relevant innovations within Platform Engineering and its key partners.

Qualifications

  • Minium of 3 years of hands-on experience implementing, operating and maintaining infrastructure for high volume enterprise web applications.
  • Minimum of 1 year of implementation and operations experience with production systems in public cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
  • At least 1 year of production operations experience with multiple of the following: RedHat Satellite; Terraform/Chef/Ansible; Kubernetes; NGINX/Istio/Consul/ZUUL; NewRelic/Dynatrace.
  • Hands-on experience automating infrastructure operations and with modern best practices such as infrastructure-as-code, cross-region & multi-provider redundancy, and event correlation solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and implementing deployment automation.
  • Knowledge with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins and Git.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Energized by a DevOps culture and Site Reliability Engineering concepts.
