Princeton Baptist Medical Center: Located in Birmingham, this 505 licensed bed teaching facility is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and is committed to contributing to the future of health care through its clinical research and medical residency program. Princeton offers fast, life-saving response times for patients with chest pain or stroke symptoms; cardiology, including structural heart and valve care; orthopedics, psychiatric care; a comprehensive sleep center; and a Comprehensive Bariatrics Center, providing surgical and non-surgical weight-loss procedures.

Brookwood Baptist Medical Center: Located in Birmingham, this 588 licensed bed facility provides the following services: Brain & Neuro, Cancer Care, Children's Services, Diagnostics, Digestive Disorders, Ear, Nose & Throat, Emergency, Gynecological Surgery, Cardiovascular Care, Interventional Radiology, Maternity, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Psychiatry, Pulmonary and Respiratory, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, Robotic Surgery, Sleep Center, Surgical Services, Urology, Weight Loss Surgery, Women's Health, Workforce Wellness, and Wound Care.

Shelby Baptist Medical Center: Located in Alabaster, this facility is equipped with 252 licensed beds. Shelby offers a full range of services to meet the diverse needs of patients including fast, life-saving response times for patients with chest pain or stroke symptoms, cardiovascular care, surgical services, orthopedics, and psychiatric care.

Citizens Baptist Medical Center: Located in Talladega, this facility is equipped with 122 licensed beds. Services offered include chest pain and stroke care, surgical services, diagnostics, and forensics.

Walker Baptist Medical Center: Located in Jasper, this facility is equipped with 267 licensed beds and specializes in cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, psychiatric care, urology, and women’s services.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Chief Financial Officer collaborates with the Chief Financial Officer and assumes responsibility for the ongoing effective operation of the department by exerting a leadership role that supports the hospitals, mission, vision, goals and objectives while focusing on the patient, physicians, employees, volunteers and the community as customers. The Assistant Chief Financial Officer has ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration into the hospitals’ and group’s financial functions. He/she is accountable for departments’ direction and coordination.

FUNCTIONAL EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

The Assistant Chief Financial Officer has responsibility for supporting the Chief Financial Officer in all efforts to ensure the financial viability of the hospital network by establishing and monitoring financial plans and budgets, and managing the financial affairs of the hospital network according to business unit goals, sound business practices, corporate and hospital policies, and according to various government regulatory requirements.

Education/Certifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required. An MBA, MHA and/or CPA designation is preferred.

Compensation

A competitive compensation program will be tailored to the selected candidate. Base salary will be supplemented by a performance bonus and comprehensive, well-rounded benefits program, which includes relocation assistance.

Travel

Travel between hospitals in the market is required. Travel outside of the market will be minimal.
