Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks.
The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
The Work
This individual will be responsible for working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop new learning products for multiple engineering disciplines, evaluating and improving existing learning products, collaborating with multiple teams to identify current and future training/knowledge/skill gaps, and administering learning management systems.
The selected candidate will have demonstrated experience ing contemporary adult learning theories to create a variety of learning materials for multiple disciplines, audiences, and modalities. Additionally, the candidate will have a strong track record of collaboration and contribute to future curriculum development.
A Day in the Life:
• Ensure test systems are setup per Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs).
• Create a wide variety of learning materials, ranging from microlearning products to self-paced learning guides to interactive courses.
• Analyze and evaluate training/knowledge/skill gaps to identify and develop appropriate learning solutions.
• Design and develop learning products for multiple modalities, including online, in-person, and hybrid, as well as synchronous and asynchronous formats.
• Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills.
• Create and analyze learning metrics to evaluate instructional effectiveness and improvement opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of Six years of depot forward maintenance experience
• Associate Certified Electronic Technician (CETs) certification.
• IPC - 610/620 Certification
• Must have ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to handle all types of hand tools (wrenches, pliers, crimp, screwdriver, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to review technical manuals, drawings, schematics.
• Proficiency with Electrical Static Discharge control processes
• Proficient in the use of a wide range of test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
• Proficiency performing electrical system diagnostics and troubleshooting to isolate and resolve root cause problems within a circuit card assembly (CCA) or electro-mechanical systems.
• Active DoD Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with any of the following: IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001, and/or ANSI/ESD S20.20.
• IPC A-610 Class 2 or Class 3 soldering certificate
• Experience working with spacecraft, aircraft, rocket ordnance/rocket motors, and missile components all a plus.
• Experience with assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Ability to operate a Forklift, truck mounted crane, and other MHE associated equipment.
• Experience in isolating and correcting malfunctions using automatic and semi-automatic program maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, and Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) as well as industry standard commercial off the shelf external test equipment.
• Graduate of a commercial or military maintenance school or program
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
