Paramedic Emergency Room Per Diem Evenings

Summary:

The Paramedic is a licensed Paramedic and functions under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse, Department Director, or Clinical Manager of the unit. He/she assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that he/she has documented competency to perform. The Paramedic adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.

EDUCATION

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent;
• Minimum education required for licensure as a Paramedic in the State of Florida.
  

EXPERIENCE

• None required.
• One (1) year of Emergency Services experience preferred.
  

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION

• State of Florida Paramedic License;
• BLS and ACLS certification;
• CPI certification within three (3) months of hire into position.
• EKG competency on hire
  

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• Completes blood draw competency within 3-months of hire into position.
