Foot Locker, Inc. is seeking a DevOps Scripting Engineer for our Chicago-based Platform Engineering team to help automate the global content delivery solutions supporting our world-class mobile and web e-commerce platforms. You must be an experienced and collaborative engineer able to contribute directly to solution design/evaluation, implementation and ongoing maintenance. Our Customer Experience platform continues to grow and we seek someone who is excited by the opportunity to help us balance stability with velocity as we explode our feature set in 2021 and beyond!

Responsibilities

  • Be a key technical contributor to projects that increase the availability, efficiency and performance of Foot Locker’s e-commerce platform.
  • Be able to take ownership of handling the deployment automation of content delivery environment and involve in automation efforts of various internal site operation/traffic management tools
  • Work closely with other members of Platform Engineering, helping to increase productivity, collaboration and skill levels.
  • Actively involve in sharing of best practices and relevant innovations within Platform Engineering and its key partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience implementing, operating and maintaining infrastructure for high volume enterprise web applications.
  • Minimum of 2 years of implementation and operations experience with production systems in public cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience on any scripting language like Python or Lua.
  • Hands-on experience automating infrastructure operations and with modern best practices such as infrastructure-as-code, cross-region & multi-provider redundancy, and event correlation solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Cloudbees and implementing deployment automation.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Energized by a DevOps culture and Site Reliability Engineering concepts.
