We are seeking a Java Software Engineer within Core Retail. You will document, design, implement, support and modernize our Supply Chain applications such as, but not limited to, Returns to Vendor, Transportation Management System, Order Management integrations, and much more! You should be passionate about solving complex business problems by delivering simple, robust, scalable and maintainable solutions using continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Active participation in back-end development efforts in building a robust warehouse integration platform
• Design and implement RESTful API’s using proven design principles and patterns
• Design and develop utility functions and cross cutting modules
• Work in an Agile/Scrum/Waterfall development environment
• Develop unit and functional tests for code developed
• Collaborate with multiple cross functional teams
• Deployment of Java and Node.js applications using CI/CD pipelines
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Ability to translate .NET applications to Java
• Create and maintain technical design documents
• Strong communication skills; both written and oral

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or closely related field, preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in building back end systems and applications
• Experience with Java, JEE technologies, and related frameworks
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases which includes Sql Server, Oracle, DB2, and Cassandra
• Experience with building integration using Message Queuing systems, Kafka a plus
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Jenkins,Git, Chef etc.)
• Experience Integrating various Supply Chain Applications including Transportation Management and Warehouse Management Systems, a plus
• Understanding of Object Oriented Principles, data structures and algorithms.
