Foot Locker’s Digital Operations & Monitoring team is seeking a talented Site Operations Engineer with experience in eCommerce and omnichannel retail support. The Site Operations Engineer will be a part of a global team located in Chicago, Vianen, and Singapore, supporting over 30 eCommerce websites across EMEA, APAC & Americas.

Within our fast - paced environment you will be the technical expert partnering with stakeholders across all areas of the business (product owners, data analytics & report ing , and marketing & merchandising teams) around the globe.

This positionreports to the Senior Manager, Digital Operations & Monitoring. The team works in a collaborative environment, leveraging evolving technology to meet the needs of the business and provide the best omnichannel experience to our customers. Candidates with a background in infrastructure, quality assurance, monitoring, and comprehensive analysis of digital commerce platforms are encouraged to !

Responsibilities

This role will include, but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Monitor performance of both on-premises and cloud systems using a variety of dashboards and tools.
  • Partner with engineering teams and peers to continually evolve the monitoring platform.
  • Triage, quantify, and prioritize production issues to ensure timely resolution and minimal business impact.
  • Actively participate in incident management and root cause analysis for all major incidents.
  • Provide consistent and timely communication to stakeholders across all levels of the company.
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of issues affecting both back-end and front-end services by analyzing logs, executing queries, and utilizing developer tools.
  • Provide real-time support for development, test and production systems in a 24x7 “always on” environment. Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
  • Facilitate and participate in release and deployment activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer science or related field.
  • 3 or more years of IT experience (operations, application support, development.)
  • 2 years supporting eCommerce platforms (Websphere, Hybris, ATG, Magento, etc.)
  • Previous application and network performance management (APM & NPM) experience using New Relic, Solarwinds, Nagios, OpenNMS, Catchpoint, etc.
  • Intermediate database skills, particularly MySQL, Mongo, and MS-SQL/T-SQL; experience with data extraction using MySQL Workbench, SSMS, DbVisualizer, command line, etc.
  • Knowledge of Python and shell scripting a plus.
